1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: ¹⁶Rejoice always, ¹⁷pray without ceasing, ¹⁸in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Jesus Christ for you.

Have you heard someone whistle while they work. They are busy doing their work, content to apply their skills while focusing on the progress being made and the joy that comes from a job well done. Perhaps God desires Christians to pursue daily life in a similar manner. Walk continually in the light and with the Light.  Be guided by His word knowing we do not walk alone! God is in us. Jesus is in us. The Spirit is in us.  We walk hand in hand with Them all day, every day.  This means we can immediately express joy and thankfulness for all that is obvious and essential, and for all that is uniquely special for God’s children.  We can also seek advice as it is needed concerning challenges and opportunities and how to best respond to encourage others and persuade the lost.

“Holy Father, thank you for the beautiful environment You created that sustains me, bringing great joy to observe and explore while reminding me of Your Power, Provision and Perfection. Thank you for walking with me today and helping me see opportunities.  Your will and your ways are in my heart. Help me to be patient or persistent with urgency when appropriate.  Help me walk like Jesus because I’m thankful for Your love and the eternal life found in Jesus.  Amen.
